Janelle and Curt met in 2018 and were married in 2019 and are first generation ranchers.

What started out as an idea turned into an urban farm. We started with two chickens, but quickly added 11 more. Our goal was to produce delicious, fresh eggs for ourselves. Finding ourselves with more eggs than we could handle, we began selling to friends and family. As our loyal customer base grew we had to develop a wait-list.

Then, because we could, we added two Nigerian Dwarf goats to the urban farm. Them two were always up to something, but they kept the grass short for us.

Enjoying producing food we quickly got to work building large raised garden beds to grow fresh produce. Then a dream was realized. We began searching for land to grow more produce, and expand our livestock. After exhaustive searches and trips around the country viewing properties, we landed in Beggs, Oklahoma and launched Bar 7 Ranch in Green Country.

We raise Scottish Highland Cattle for beef production, and will start selling grass fed beef in fall of 2025.

Our chicken count has raised to 40 hens for egg production, and have started raising chickens for meat production. All of our chickens are pasture raised, and only secured in their 400 square foot coop at night to keep them safe from predators.

Adding to our poultry line up, we raise a cohort of heritage breed Turkeys each year to provide delicious pasture raised birds that will help create Thanksgiving memories for your family.

We are proud to offer pasture raised, grass fed pork! We had not intended to raise pigs, but who doesn't love bacon? We raise Idaho Pasture Pigs that are true grazing pigs. They are a newer registered breed that is a triple cross between Kune Kunes for their grazing qualities, Berkshires for their premium pork qualities and Duroc for the size and faster grow out times.

And our herd on Nigerian Dwarf goats has grown to 6. They are fun to watch play.

We believe in raising animals on pasture and as naturally as possible. This means no medicated feeds, non-gmo, no growth hormones, and antibiotic free. We do not use commercial pesticides or fertilizers on our pastures but instead look for more natural ways to keep our pastures healthy. In turn this produces higher quality, healthier, more nutritious meats and produce. We feed our animals high quality feeds, fresh produce, fruits, and sometimes table scraps. We are selective in what we allow our animals to eat ensuring their health and well being. We truly hope you enjoy our farm to table products.
